Therapy for Military Personnel

***For Veterans, you may be able to get your sessions paid for by your local VA facility by requesting community care services from your primary care or mental health provider. Jennifer Sluga is a participant in the Community Care Program and will accept referrals from local VA hospitals, Vet Centers and Clinics.

Jenn Sluga served in the Army for six years and has been deployed.  After being deployed Jenn worked for the local County Veterans Service Office while getting her Masters Degree and so has a vast knowledge of most federal, state and local benefits and resources.  Jenn then transitioned to the Madison Vet Center for years as a readjustment therapist offering counseling to Veterans and their family members. 

What is readjustment counseling?

Readjustment counseling is a wide range of psycho social services offered to Veterans, Service members, and their families in the effort to make a successful transition from military to civilian life.

They include:

• Individual and group counseling for Veterans, Service members, and their families
• Family counseling for military related issues
• Bereavement counseling for families who experience an active duty death
• Military sexual trauma counseling 
• Substance abuse counseling 
• VBA benefits explanation and referral
• Screening & referral for medical issues including TBI, depression, etc.

If you are not able to obtain a referral, sliding scale will be used for Veterans or referrals will be made to FREE services available.
