Rates & Insurance

Rates

  • Our rates vary, depending on the length of appointment, the training of the therapist, and the service provided. Please contact us for more information. Our therapist training levels include:
    • PhD Level Therapist

    • Master's Level Therapist (LPC/LCSW)

    • LPC-IT

    • Master's Level Intern

  • Flexible Private Pay Options

    • Many of our clients find that private pay offers more freedom and less stress than going through insurance. It allows you to choose the frequency and duration of sessions that work best for you—without restrictions.

    • Reach out to see what your customized private pay or out-of-pocket rate could look like.

    • Benefits of Private Pay Therapy

      • More Choice: You're free to choose a therapist you truly connect with—not just those in-network.

      • Consistent Support: No session limits or pre-approvals to interrupt your progress.

      • Personalized Care: Treatment is based on your needs, not insurance restrictions.

      • Greater Privacy: No required diagnosis or shared records with insurance companies.

Our full session fees for fully licensed therapists are as follows for insurance payments:

  • (CPT 90791)  First Session (Psychiatric Diagnostic Evaluation, 55 mins) – $235
  • (CPT 90837)  55-minute session – $225
  • (CPT 90834)  38-52-minute session – $190

  • (CPT 90832)  30-minute session – $155

  • (CPT 90846 or 90847)  Family and couples’ sessions – $225

  • (CPT 90853)  Group sessions – $125

These are the amounts billed to insurance companies. Your insurance company then determines the amount you are responsible for.  TLC does not determine copay or deductible amounts owed.

Therapists in training and interns may be available for reduced fees.

Insurance

We are in the process of going through the credentialing process with several insurances.  Insurances will be added to this section as we get this completed.

Depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, it is possible for services to be covered in full or in part. Please contact your provider to verify how your plan compensates you for psychotherapy services.

We’d recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:

  • Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
  • Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
  • Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
  • Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?
  • What Out of Network coverage do I have?
  • Do I need to meet a deductible before using it?

We’re happy to provide you with a monthly Super Bill if you want one to submit to your insurance.

A Super Bill is an itemized receipt showing the dates of service, the specific procedure codes for the care you received, the amount you paid, and any diagnosis made. We’ll give you a super bill each month if you ask for it—but just so you know, if you want one, we do need to include a diagnosis.

Reduced Fee Services

Reduced fee services are available on a limited basis. Please call for more information.

Payment

We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards as forms of payment.  HSA and flex spending accounts are also accepted.

Cancellation Policy

Please remember to cancel or reschedule 24 hours in advance of an appointment. If you do not cancel or reschedule 24 hours in advance of an appointment or fail to show for an appointment, then you will be responsible for the entire session fee (e.g., $225 per hour) which includes both the insurance portion and client portion related to a session. This is because TLC cannot bill insurance for missed sessions.

If you have out-of-network benefits or Worker's Compensation

Clients that would like to bill their session costs to their insurance for which TLC is out-of-network, or to a Worker's Compensation program, pay for sessions upfront. TLC will provide a superbill that you can give to your insurance company or Worker's Compensation for reimbursement.

Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate

As a client, you have the right to understand the expected cost of your care—before you receive services. If you are paying out-of-pocket or not using insurance, you’re entitled to what’s called a Good Faith Estimate.

This estimate outlines the projected cost of your non-emergency services, including any related fees such as assessments, therapy sessions, or other treatment-related charges. It’s designed to help you plan ahead and make informed decisions.

You’ll receive a Good Faith Estimate along with your intake paperwork—before your first billable session takes place.

You can request an estimate at any time, and we’re happy to provide one. If your actual charges end up being $400 or more above the estimated amount, you have the right to dispute the bill.

We recommend keeping a copy of your Good Faith Estimate for your records.
